  • Dashboard warning lights. Your car's onboard diagnostic system is essential to keeping your vehicle operating efficiently. Flashing or blinking warning lights should be addressed as soon as possible.
  • Oil spots under the car. Dark brown oil spots under your car indicate your vehicle is leaking motor oil. The problem could be as minor as the filter or drain plug not secured tightly or as big as a compromised gasket in the engine.
  • Greenish fluid under the car. This means your car is leaking radiator fluid from a bad fitting on a hose or from a more major issue such as a cracked radiator. This could result in an overheating engine and cause permanent engine damage.
  • Noisy Brakes. When brake pads near the end of their service life, they may emit a high-pitch squeal or squeak. Squealing, squeaking, or metal-on-metal grinding sounds can also indicate that rotors, calipers, and discs have become worn out.
  • Louder than normal rumbling or sputtering from beneath the car. This usually indicates a problem with the exhaust system. It could be as minor as a hole in the muffler or something more serious such as a bad catalytic converter.
  • Chirping or screeching from under the hood. Drive belts, also known as serpentine belts, direct engine power to accessory systems. As these belts wear, they become frayed and brittle.
  • Humming, growling or roaring when driving. Your tires may be deformed, the tread is worn down, or have a bad wheel bearing.
